Progress Shots – Bare Frame

Posted: November 29, 2009 in Progress Shots

I have to admit my admin. help over at http://www.oldihc.org has had me a little neglectful of the blog. November has been a month of laziness and annoying sanding work. The fruits of my labors are a 85% stripped frame in the next few weeks I plan to paint it with Por-15 and Chassis Coat Black and to finish up all the odds and ends for the rear suspension. The goal is to have the Cab acid dipped (hopefully) by early January. The engine should come some time in March so this gives me plenty of lead time to start buying and fitting the parts I can and to finish the brake system completely.

All in all its coming along pretty nicely. Have a happy holidays everyone. -Nick

These are some progress shots of removing the cab and all frame components. Later this week the engine will come out with that hoist in the pics. It is a one man show so unfortunately I need to carefully plan out how to pull off the large items so as not to injure me or the truck.

By the way… this thing rocks! – Scissor Table – Harbor Freight (Caught it on sale). It is what my cab is currently sitting on.
